Larry Nance Jr. and Josh Hart’s careers have been connected somehow, even after both players left the Los Angeles Lakers in prior years. They stayed in touch during all these years and recently made an interesting trade when their paths crossed again.

Nance was sent to New Orleans in the blockbuster trade that also shipped CJ McCollum to Louisiana, while Hart found his way to Portland with the Trail Blazers. Getting traded is a big blow for some players and not only for leaving a situation when they feel comfortable, playing alongside good hoopers. There’s more to that and Hart and Nance lived it again.

Whenever somebody gets traded, they need to start looking for a new house, but these two found a simple and fun solution to that issue. Talking with reporters, Nance revealed that he spoke to Hart and swapped houses. He had one in Portland and Hart owned one in New Orleans, so it was pretty easy for them.

Modern problems require modern solutions and this is a big proof of that. They’ve been close since their Lakers day and are two of those players who found an identity after leaving the Purple and Gold.

Now they’ll try to help their new teams reach the playoffs, which won’t be easy. The Pelicans are trying to make it to the big party, while the Blazers are waiting for the offseason, but knowing that they can make life hard for many teams in the Western Conference.

Both teams are missing their biggest stars, and it’s time for those role players to show up and demonstrate they are valuable pieces for the present and the future.
