LeBron James is not part of the 2022 NBA playoffs, but his name remains relevant among the fans. Either it is people trolling him for being on vacation while the NBA championship is on the line, or others talking about the Los Angeles Lakers’ plans for this offseason regarding Russell Westbrook and the future of the team.

Bron might not be the best player in the world right now, but his name still draws a lot of attention whenever it’s mentioned. He’s been under the spotlight since a very young age, and the King has learned how to manage that perfectly.

In recent hours, the Hoop Central shared old footage of LeBron’s SportsCenter special when he was still in high school. That footage shows a teenager James balling, while people like his high school head coach praised his quality.

It hasn’t been an easy journey for him, but LeBron has exceeded expectations, becoming one of the two best NBA players of all time. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar had to face many challenges over the years, but he always came out victorious.

The King reacted to the video, sending a short but powerful message on Twitter, explaining that he hadn’t seen the footage in a long time while admitting that he felt like carrying the weight of the world during those years.

“Wow it’s been awhile since I’ve seen that footage. Weight of the world on the shoulders on #ThekidfromAKRON ,” he quote-tweeted.

Flash forward, almost 20 years after he made it to the league, LeBron is one of the biggest legends to ever set foot on an NBA court. He has won four championships, four regular-season MVPs, four Finals MVPs, and many more awards during his 19-year career.

James is a different beast, one of those players that we will see once in a lifetime. It’s great to see that he learned how to manage the pressure and became a total legend while not getting involved in any off-court scandal. You have to give credit where credit is due and LeBron surely deserves it.
