Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis have been involved in a series of rumors regarding their relationship. They joined forces in Dallas to help the Mavericks compete in the Western Conference, but things haven’t clicked for them in the past couple of seasons.

The 2021/22 season will be crucial for the Texans, as they attend to make the leap and finally have a deep playoff run. Plenty of people see this duo as a recipe for disaster, given their different personalities and styles of play.

Well, in recent hours, we learned that things aren’t that serious between these two. According to Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, the relationship between Doncic and Porzingis is very good, claiming they actually like each other, contrary to what most people say.

Dallas Mavs stars Luka Doncic & Kristaps Porzingis do in fact get along & belief that KP is jealous of Doncic is ‘not true’ a Mavs source tells @BallySports

“KP’s been misjudged. They’re not mad at each other & they actually like one another. Mavs don’t need a second scorer.”

The Mavericks made some changes this offseason trying to change things a little bit. After Rick Carlisle decided to end his relationship with the team, Jason Kidd is their new head coach. Former Nike executive Nico Harrison is the new GM.

This upcoming campaign will be important for the franchise. Even though they re-signed Luka to a five-year, $207 million new deal, the Slovenian player wants to win. Another first-round elimination would be hurtful for him and the team.

It’s time to step up and aim higher than before. Mark Cuban is confident his team can make some noise next year. Still, not everybody is convinced they did enough to compete in a stacked Western Conference.
