Muggsy Bogues Shares Hilarious Story Of How Michael Jordan Joked With Him: “He’ll Put His Hand Up High For Me To Give Him A High-Five And I’ll Put My Hand Down Low, You Come Down To Give Me A Low-Five.”

Muggsy Bogues is one of the most unique players in NBA history. The short guard had to fight hard to earn a spot in the league and then to keep it, using different tools to become a nightmare for rivals who were considerably taller than him. That’s how he stayed in the league for 14 seasons.

During that time, he starred in many interesting moments, and some included the GOAT, Michael Jordan. No. 23 seemed to have a lot of fun with Bogues on the court, and he allegedly used big language to humble the Charlotte Hornets legend, something that Bogues has denied before.

During a recent appearance on All the Smoke, the former point guard shared some stories about his matchups with MJ and how His Airness used to mess with him. While denying that Jordan ever called him ‘midget’, Bogues recalled how he teased the six-time NBA champion.

“MJ always liked to f**k with me. Even till this day, he’ll put his hand up high for me to give him a hi-five and I’ll put my hand down low, you come down to give me a lo-five… There was stuff about he called me a midget which is not true. He always call me short lil fella or lil ass.”

There’s no doubt that Bogues enjoyed his time around Michael Jordan and has nothing but respect for the GOAT. He has talked about his time in the league and his duels with Jordan recently, and even picked him as a better actor than LeBron James and Space Jam as a better movie than the one the King premiered earlier this year.

You can say whatever you like about the interactions between Jordan and Bogues, but it’s clear that the latter never felt offended by MJ.
