Michael Jordan has become much more than the greatest basketball player of all time, going further and turning himself into a successful businessman who owns an NBA franchise, as well as many other companies that have grossed him over $2 billion of net worth.
In recent years, he dived into the alcohol business and teamed up with other NBA owners to create the Cincoro tequila brand. Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, Milwaukee Bucks owner Wes Edens, and Boston Celtics owners Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck joined Jordan in this new adventure, which has given them incredible results so far.
Their agave is hand-picked in two regions of Jalisco, Mexico, to give this tequila floral notes and minerality at the same time.
The Cincoro tequila has four different versions, called Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo. All these have different prices, going from $83 (Blanco), $114 (Reposado), $144 (Añejo), $1,800 (Extra Añejo). They currently have a Founder's Series Extra Añejo limited edition that costs $5,000.
It's been a great journey for MJ and his partners, who recently were nominated to a big award thanks to this, although they lost to LeBron James' Lobos 1707. Still, nobody doubts that they're selling a quality product and many fans want to know more about it, especially if it includes getting to talk with Michael Jordan.
NBA Fan Gets An Interview With Michael Jordan, But Can Only Ask Him Questions About His Tequila
One Redditor (hayduhz) recently revealed they had the chance to interview Wes Edens (Bucks), Michael Jordan (Hornets), Jeanie Buss (Lakers), and Wyc Grousbeck (Celtics) about their tequila, and every question should be about the drink and nothing else. This means that there won't be any questions regarding Russell Westbrook for Jeanie Buss, Carmelo Anthony for Grousbeck, or anything that comes to mind to Jordan.
This person took to Reddit to ask fellow redditors about what he should ask MJ about, and the answers were hilarious.
What’s the most amount of his tequila he could drink and still beat Isaiah Thomas in 1 on 1.
Spinning all the questions into basketball ones: “Michael, tell me about your tequila in relation to who is better, you or Bron”
In the context of tequila, did you despise kukoc or jerry krause more and why?
Alternatively, if you had only one tequila shot left in the bottle, would you rather give it to Krause or Kukoc?
"How many shots of your tequila would it take for you to tolerate a basketball question?"
Who would you rather have a shot of tequila with Isiah or Krause.
Who has the greatest tequila of all time?
'if you're tequila is the LBJ of tequila, then what is the MJ"
If Isiah Thomas were without a doubt one of the 15 top tequila producers in the US, and if there were an international tequila competition somewhere, say....Barcelona?... would you invite him?
Ask Michael Jordan if he plans on putting a worm in the bottom of the bottle and if so, will it be Dennis Rodman?
Give us worms with the same colors as Rodman’s hair over the years.
If you had to put any former teammate of yours at the bottom of a bottle of tequila, which one would you choose and why
So Jeanie as a six time NBA champion, what do you think about this tequila?
Mr. Jordan, if you were turned into a literal bottle of Cincoro that somehow secured ownership of the Hornets, what expectations would you have going forward into this new season?”
Haha phrase everything like “So MJ… I have a question for Jeanie.” Lol
What’s the best cigar to smoke w your tequila?
Was this the same tequila that was responsible for the Kwame Brown draft pick?
“When you covered the Adidas logo with the American flag in Barcelona, we’re you thinking at that time about starting a tequila company?”
If there was a tequila called LeTequila, would yours beat it 1v1?
NBA fans never miss a chance to troll, especially when it comes to big legends like Michael Jordan. The GOAT debate is a hot topic in the league right now, and nobody wants to miss a chance to make some jokes to piss off LeBron James or Michael Jordan's fans.
This was another example of it, and fans really went off with their questions. It would be interesting to see what type of questions MJ and the rest of the owners get, and maybe they can respond to something related to their respective NBA teams, but that's a long shot right now.
