NBA fans love nothing more than when a player on their team shows a lot of passion. When stars are aggressive and play with their heart on their sleeve, it endears them to the fans quite quickly. And a lot of that involves getting into the heads of the opposition by indulging in some good, old-fashioned trash talk.
There have been many legendary trash talkers in the league, Larry Bird, Kevin Garnett, and Charles Barkley, all have stories told about how intense they were on the court. And the current NBA has its slew of stars that live up to the billing as well. Draymond Green, Patrick Beverley, Jimmy Butler, and Kevin Durant have all been mentioned as some players who can throw opposing players off their game with the things they say.
Bleacher Report asked NBA fans on Twitter who they think the best trash talkers in the league are, and there were several different answers from fans in the replies.

“Pat Bev and Draymond for sure.”
“The best? Draymond. The Most Annoying ? Pat Bev.”
“Definitely Draymond Green.”
“KD is the best because he can back it up the best.”
“Jimmy Butler and you can’t convince me otherwise. He trash talks his teammates.”
“I dunno, those memphis boys be having almost every team in they feelings.”
“Draymond is incessant, nobody better than him.”
“Jimmy 100% has that dawg in him.”
“Kevin Durant for me, he’s like Larry Bird, he’ll talk to you, then put 50 on your head.”
“Dray cuz he be cutting deep. Paul Pierce still gets clowned anytime he does anything on here.”
“Pat Beverley for sure.”
“There’s a reason everyone hates PatBev.”
“Dray has my vote on this.”
It’s hard to say for certain because a lot of the stories about current stars haven’t really come out yet, but these players seem to be getting the most votes on this front. Draymond Green and Patrick Beverley are pests on defense, while Butler and Durant back their talk up with huge performances. One way or another, the league seems to be in good hands when it comes to trash talk.
