Paul Pierce is a Boston Celtics legend and he remains a big supporter of the team. Pierce who was a 10-time All-Star during his time with the Celtics, has sat courtside for a few games in these playoffs and he was in attendance for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors as well.

He witnessed the Celtics go up big in the first half and then respond in some style in the fourth quarter after withstanding Golden State’s third-quarter barrage. The Warriors had actually taken the lead at one point in the third but the Celtics took over in the fourth to go up 2-1 in these Finals. Pierce was understandably hyped after the win and he flamed some Warriors fans at TD Garden who seemed upbeat despite the result.

“Sit Down. Sit Down. Look at these idiots right here. Look at these idiots. F***ing idiots.”

Pierce was live on Instagram when he saw those Warriors fans flexing on him and he told them to sit back down. He has the bragging rights after the Celtics put on that performance in the fourth quarter and they are now just two games away from a first championship since Pierce won it for them in 2008 along with the other members of his Big 3 in Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

The Celtics’ current Big 3 if you want to call them that, were immense in this win, as  Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart all registered at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. It was the first time a trio had done that in a Finals game since 1984 and they came up big when it mattered most. Another big performance in Game 4 would put them firmly in the driver’s seat and you wouldn’t bet against them at this point.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
