Richard Jefferson is one of the funniest personalities in the NBA today. The former NBA champion currently serves as an analyst and a commentator for ESPN. But his role at ESPN does not restrict his humor. If anything, they have provided him with a massive platform to showcase his comedic chops.

And last night, Jefferson got another hilarious dig in, this time, at the expense of fans of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers got blown out in an embarrassing loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last night. And during the game, Jefferson explained how quiet fans of the Lakers had gotten with a hilarious joke.

“It’s so quiet in here, you can literally hear a mouse fart.”

Richard Jefferson was far from the only person getting his shots in at the expense of the Lakers. Fans in attendance heckled LeBron James and also did the same to Russell Westbrook and Trevor Ariza. However, that fan crossed the line, and the players let him hear it.

Jefferson has mentioned in the past that he does not expect the Lakers to achieve much this season and that their ceiling is a second-round exit in the NBA playoffs. And given the way the Lakers have played so far this season, one can make the argument that Jefferson was being generous in his assessment of the Lakers. But RJ has played with LeBron James and knows what he is capable of.

Jefferson is truly one of the funniest media personalities covering the NBA today. He recently also poked fun at Tim Duncan during a recent game, jokingly saying that Duncan had been carried by other players throughout his entire career. On top of that, he also took aim at his former teammate Kendrick Perkins, noting that Perk hadn’t played since 2 years before he retired.
