The Golden State Warriors had a tremendous season in 2021-22, ending the year as champions, their 4th win since 2015. This team is a dynasty, and not many people can question it after seeing them win yet another championship after their presumed title window was over.

The Warriors overcame the Boston Celtics 4-2 in the Finals in a very tense series that saw both teams jaw at each other a lot. Draymond Green had a beef with the entire team and city of Boston, while Stephen Curry was quietly leading them to wins in the best way he could do so. Now that some time has passed, even Curry is joining in on the laying into people that doubted or disrespected Golden State.

Curry already called out Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams in his opening monologue during the 2022 ESPYS but doubled down by calling himself the proud daddy of the Boston Celtics in a skit with Kevin Hart.

“I’m your host Stephen Curry. Proud husband of Ayesha Curry. Proud son of Dell Curry. Proud daddy of… The Boston Celtics”

Steph Curry averaged 31.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in six games in the 2022 NBA Finals, winning Finals MVP easily for his efforts. He and the Warriors took out the Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks to get to the Finals where they struggled to start the series against Boston but took over after Game 3 and dominated the series.

All the talking that the Warriors are doing after their championship win is going to serve as motivation for opponents that may want to knock them down a peg or two.

At this point, some team or player (not named LeBron James) needs to step up to the challenge of defeating the Warriors in the Finals. Until then, Steph Curry can say whatever he wants to.
