Every NBA player has a negative record against a particular rival, and most of the time, it’s a surprising one. The Golden State Warriors aren’t the exception to that ‘rule’ since their stars have negative records against shocking players.
Instagram page Ball Numbers revealed the Dubs’ best players’ worst records against certain players around the league. Not even Stephen Curry is safe from this, as he went 1-9 against one of the best point guards in the 2000s.
The 2x NBA MVP was 1-9 against Derek Fisher during his career. Klay Thompson had similar numbers against one of the best big men in NBA history, Tim Duncan, recording 3-9 against the San Antonio Spurs legend.
If we talk about kryptonite, that is precisely what Kawhi Leonard is for Andrew Wiggins. The Los Angeles Clippers superstar has dominated the Warriors player, posting a 16-1 record against him since Wiggins entered the league in 2014. Kelly Oubre Jr. has had a hard time facing Jae Crowder, with a 2-13 record against the Phoenix Suns big man.
Draymond Green’s worst record is probably the most surprising of all. The former DPOY has a 1-6 record against Semi Ojeleye. Of course, that is not as bad as the rest of his teammates, but one would think Draymond has done better against Semi.
The Boston Celtics forward probably hasn’t made a significant impact on the scoreboard when he faced Draymond. Still, numbers don’t lie, and he’s beaten Green six times so far.
The NBA is full of surprises, and it’s great to see all these little details about our favorite players. Who would have thought that Draymond had such a bad record against Ojeleye? Well, even the great ones have dealt with the defeat, unless we talk about Chauncey Billups. He can brag about having a positive record against great legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James.
