The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat in Game 7, and thus, the NBA Finals will feature a matchup between them and the Golden State Warriors. There is no doubt that it will be an entertaining matchup.

The last Finals that featured the two teams had Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain in it during the 1963-64 season. This matchup hasn’t been seen in quite some time on the highest stage, and it’ll be interesting to see who ends up winning.

The last time the Celtics and Warriors met in the NBA Finals, it was Wilt vs Bill Russell. Now, it’s Steph vs Tatum.

Prior to Game 6 of the series between the Celtics, Warriors forward Draymond Green predicted that they would face off against the Celtics in the Finals. It is clear that this prediction became a reality, even though Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat did their best to avoid it.

“I think both teams are tough. I think Boston will cause us problems, especially offensively. Their defense is incredible… If you wanna ask me who we wanna play, I’m going to tell you who we’re gonna play. We’re gonna play Boston.”

Hopefully, we get to see an amazing Finals matchup that goes the full 7 series. Both teams are extremely talented. There’s no doubt that this series will likely be a war between two great rosters, as both front offices have done a great job of building around their stars and making each team a championship-caliber squad.

For both Jayson Tatum and Stephen Curry, winning the Finals would mean a lot for their respective legacies. Stephen Curry would win his 4th championship, and get a Finals MVP, while Jayson Tatum would win his 1st ever ring. There’s a lot at stake in this upcoming Finals series, and we’ll see who ends up being victorious in this series.
