It has been almost six months since the death of Kobe Bean Bryant but, for many in the NBA community, coming to grips with the loss hasn’t gotten any easier. You can only imagine how his family feels.
To make matters worse, today (August 23rd) would have been Bryant’s 42nd birthday, and it marks the first since the accident in January.
Needless to say, the feeling is somber all around the league today, especially after reading what was posted by Kobe’s wife, Vanessa, on Instagram.

The post was all about celebrating and remembering Bryant, who Vanessa clearly misses deeply. She describes him as patient, kind, and tender. She illustrated the wonderful relationship he had with her and their four kids.
It’s a pretty sad day for the NBA community, as Kobe may be one of the most popular and beloved sports icons of All-Time. On the court, he was a 5x Champion, 18x All-Star, NBA MVP, and first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.
Off of it, he was a loving family man, an Oscar winner, and an inspiration for countless individuals on how to never stop fighting, never give up and work hard in everything that you do.
We all miss you Kobe. Our thoughts and prayers are with Vanessa and the rest of the Bryant family on this tough day.
