Video: Ja Morant And Karl-Anthony Towns’ Fathers Show Sportsmanship Near The End Of Timberwolves-Grizzlies Game

Sportsmanship is an important part of competing in athletic events, not just basketball. It is generally good to show respect to one’s opponents, and unsportsmanlike conduct is generally frowned upon.

Towards the end of the Minnesota Timberwolves-Memphis Grizzlies game, the fathers of stars Karl-Anthony Towns and Ja Morant showed sportsmanship to one another, shaking hands and embracing. It is clear that despite their sons facing off against one another in a heated playoff series, there’s no animosity between the two.

Even though the two clearly have respect for one another, it is obvious that they are still feeling competitive. In fact, Ja Morant’s father is shown staring into the camera, claiming that the Memphis Grizzlies are “ducking no smoke”, and showing support to the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Minnesota Timberwolves obviously managed to win their first game in this series, and that was something that was unexpected by many fans. Some have suggested that the Grizzlies have been exposed for not being true contenders, but it is definitely a little early for that sort of take on the series, as there is still a good number of games left to play.

The Memphis Grizzlies are led by superstar point guard Ja Morant, and they finished the regular season as the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. They were viewed as contenders going into the playoffs, and if the public opinion of them is correct, they will be able to bounce back and win this series.

With that being said, the Minnesota Timberwolves aren’t a team that should be taken lightly. They have a good bit of star power, and some solid role players surrounding their stars. They aren’t an easy matchup whatsoever.

Even though they lost the first game in the series, the Memphis Grizzlies should in theory be favored to win it. However, anything can happen in the league, and an upset by the Timberwolves isn’t out of the question
