Michael Jeffrey Jordan was among the highest competitors in the game. Throughout his 15-year career, the guy never backed down from a challenge and was never out-worked on the basketball floor.

Apparently, not even fans were spared from his wrath.

In a viral video, it shows the Bulls legend absolutely tearing up one fan who dared to challenge him. The clip features some trash talk and even a nasty elbow as it’s made clear the poor guy was in way over his head. Check it out:

It’s an amazing and wholesome moment — a rare view of MJ just having fun with an ordinary fan.

For us watching today, it’s a great glimpse of Jordan’s passionate heart and killer mentality. He didn’t care who you were, he was going to take you down.

“Michael Jordan was not just a great player,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. “He would reach into your chest and pull your heart out if he had to win a game. You don’t see that really often. He had that killer mindset and brought it every single night. That’s why all of these many years later, he’s the greatest of all time.”

There’s something to admire about the way Jordan approached the game. His competitive spirit was not only electric, it was contagious, and seeped into everyone he played with.

No matter your feelings on Jordan or his attitude, you can’t call his career unsuccessful. The guy is a 6x Champion, 5x MVP, and easily the greatest basketball player ever to walk the earth.

Among other things, it was his competitiveness that is remembered and revered today, and while modern NBA has calmed down in many ways, many fans hunger for that spirit and passion he brought to the court every single night.

We’re blessed to have guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Russell Westbrook, and others who continue to carry on that tradition.
