NBA Rumors: Boston Celtics Have A Plan To Land Jrue Holiday And Myles Turner

2 Min Read

The Boston Celtics are expected to be among the many teams making moves and trading players this offseason.

Finishing just a few wins away from a trip to the NBA Finals, Boston is looking to establish themselves as true title contenders in the 2020-21 campaign.

While it remains to be seen what they will do over these next few weeks, we do have some information regarding their plan to acquire some big-name players.

Jrue Holiday has been involved in rumors for months, with many reports indicating his time in New Orleans could be coming to an end in the near future. While Jrue may be a step behind Kemba on the offensive end, he’s an upgrade defensively — as evidenced by his 2 All-Defensive team selections.

The Celtics are also reportedly considering trading Gordon Hayward to the Pacers for Myles Turner, a young and versatile big man who would add size, defense, and rebounding to Boston’s depleted frontcourt.

As the ’20-21 campaign inches closer, there is little doubt that the Celtics are gearing up for something big. Whether it’s Jrue, Myles, or some other target, you can bet they’ll be doing all they can to build up their assets and improve their roster for a championship run.

2008 was the last time Boston took home the Larry O’Brien trophy.
