Anonymous NBA Executive Says Anthony Davis Could Be Traded To The Chicago Bulls In A Blockbuster Deal

3 Min Read

Back in 2019, Anthony Davis made headlines when he admitted his interest in joining the Chicago Bulls. Before even suiting up for the Purple and Gold, he had people talking about his future in the Windy City.

Fast forward a few years, and the topic has resurfaced once again.

In a chat with Heavy, one anonymous league executive hinted that a move to Chicago could be in play for Davis as part of a blockbuster trade deal involving DeMar DeRozan and Coby White.

Chicago is the one place I can see AD saying, ‘OK, if you are going to trade me, send me home.’ He has always wanted to play for the Bulls. That is not a big secret. He wants to do something for his city. If you are Chicago, I do not see how you don’t make an offer, at least feel it out.

But you would have to send DeMar DeRozan back. Plus I’d say either Pat Williams or Coby White. and if it is White, then a draft pick, too. I think that is something that would at least have a chance because the Lakers can say, ‘Well he wanted to go home,’ then let his injuries be Chicago’s problem. I like DeRozan and LeBron together, you get Coby White and you flip the pick for a vet? It is not a bad deal for the Lakers, either.

Davis is born and raised in Chicago, so his connections to the city run deep. Besides openly admitting his openness to play there one day, there have been several reports over the years suggesting he could become a Bull in the not-too-distant future.

As an 8x All-Star, NBA Champion, and dominant big man, Davis would be just as important to the Bulls as he is to the Lakers. What he provides on both ends of the floor is enough to make any team relevant.

For now, all we can do is wait and see what happens next for AD as he approaches his 29th birthday in March.
