Cavaliers Players Feel The Organization Is Looking To Make A “Big Shakeup” And Trade Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson

2 Min Read

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of yet another disastrous campaign. As Cavs GM Koby Altman goes back to the drawing board, he could decide to shake up the roster in the process.

And, according to Cleveland sports reporter Chris Fedor, those within the team are getting the feeling that some major changes are coming.

It’s no surprise that the Cavs are shopping two of their top veterans. As near All-Star-level big men, Love and Thompson could bring back sizeable haul of future picks and young players.

Averaging 17.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, Love has the ability to make a major impact for whatever team trades for him. He can rebound, stretch the floor, and bring valuable Championship experience to the locker room.

Thompson is in the middle of his best season yet, posting 11.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 50% shooting. In the right environment, Thompson could thrive as a backup big man, grabbing rebounds and dominating under the rim.

As the trade deadline nears, expect the Cavs to be increasingly aggressive in their pursuit of young talent. They have a long way to go to steer their ship in the right direction, and their two veteran big guys may be the key to start the ball rolling.
