Across the Association, teams seek ways to be at the top. The best teams are looking for contributors who could help them compete for a championship, while other teams want marginal improvement as they build their long-term projects.

To get a leg up on most of their peers, NBA front offices should make some risky decisions ahead of the trade deadline. Let us look at some high-risk high-reward deals teams could make.

Atlanta Hawks

Potential Trade Package

Hawks Receive: Nic Claxton

Nets Receive: Clint Capela, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Lakers)

The Atlanta Hawks have always had a solid center rotation since Trae Young entered the league in 2018. He has always worked well with his centers because the system caters to a connection in the pick-and-roll.

Clint Capela has been the center for a long time, but his contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season. It is time to get some value for him, and why not take the gamble on another center in Brooklyn?

Nic Claxton is only 25 years old, and one of the best defensive centers in the league. He can be the defensive anchor the Atlanta Hawks have needed for a long time, who could also switch in the pick-and-roll. The 25-year-old also fits well alongside Trae Young, who could throw him lobs almost every offensive possession.

Claxton averages 9.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, two assists on 61.4% from the field this season. His free-throw percentage of 46.5% is concerning, yet the 1.2 blocks per game should remedy those worries.

This likely blocks the pathway for Onyeka Okongwu again hence the risk. But, Claxton has a higher ceiling on the defensive end. They will have the same length with their contracts, as their deals expire after the 2027/28 season, which would be an interesting dynamic to think about if Atlanta takes the swing.

Boston Celtics

Potential Trade Package

Celtics Receive: Josh Richardson

Nets Receive: Jaden Springer, 2025 Second-Round Pick

The NBA championship favorite Boston Celtics should not take risks this season. They have a mostly intact roster from the title-winning year in the 2023-24 campaign, so not making risky moves is the way to go.

However, they can make trades with Jaden Springer as the trade piece, considering he is earning $4 million on an expiring deal. He can be enough for the Miami Heat, especially since Josh Richardson has not gotten much playing time this season.

Richardson is a familiar face for long-time Boston fans he played 44 games with the team during the 2021-22 season Richardson brings a good track record of spot-up shooting with his 36.3% career average and intense defense.

Brooklyn Nets

Potential Trade Package

Nets Receive: Aaron Wiggins, Nikola Topic, 2026 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick (via Nuggets)

Thunder Receive: Cameron Johnson

The Brooklyn Nets could sell most of their marquee players in plenty of possible moves. They shipped Dennis Schroder to the Golden State Warriors, so Cameron Johnson has become the most enticing trade piece, and they are asking for multiple first-round picks.

The combo forward is having a career year, averaging 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He can be a fantastic addition to the Oklahoma City Thunder, especially with his three-point shooting, averaging 42.2% from beyond the arc.

The Nets will be taking some risky swings on a young player in Nikola Topic. He is still unknown because he is not playing his first NBA season due to a torn ACL. The youngster is a bigger point guard at 6’6” and could become the lead playmaker in Brooklyn.

Aaron Wiggins has been stellar for the Oklahoma City Thunder over the past few years. He has developed from a two-way player into a fixture of the rotation due to his reliable scoring, defense, and hustle. This season, he is averaging 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, a good summary of his impact off the bench or even as a starter at times.

Charlotte Hornets

Potential Trade Package

Hornets Receive: Cameron Thomas

Nets Receive: Tidjane Salaun, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2027 First-Round Pick (via Mavericks)

Cameron Thomas has emerged as one of the most promising scorers in the league, averaging 24.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He will give the Charlotte Hornets another top-level scorer alongside LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller. He is a realistic target for the Hornets since they have the personnel to deal.

For Brooklyn, they will continue their rebuild and get promising young players. Salaun is a promising forward who has great athleticism and solid length. He is a raw prospect at only 19 but has shown flashes of being a high-level athlete.

In addition to getting the French forward, they can get two picks, one from the Hornets and the other from the Dallas Mavericks. With top prospects only getting better each year, those picks could be promising for Brooklyn or when involved in future trades.

Chicago Bulls

Potential Trade Package

Bulls Receive: Zion Williamson, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

Pelicans Receive: Nikola Vucevic, Patrick Williams, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Trail Blazers), 2027 First-Round Pick

Due to Zion Williamson’s poor injury record, his trade stock has plummeted. He is one of the highest-risk players in the league because he just cannot stay healthy. When he does play, he finds ways to be productive because he can always go downhill and dominate the paint despite being only 6’6”.

The two-time All-Star is averaging 22.7 points, eight rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season albeit only in six games. The Chicago Bulls can take some risks while shedding Nikola Vucevic in the trade, this might be the move. Of course, Chicago going for Williamson is risky since he is always dealing with injuries, but getting him and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is a good package.

On the Pelicans’ side, getting Vucevic can pan out for a few months before he can be traded again. He has been superb in the 24-25 season, averaging 20.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

Patrick Williams could find his footing with the Pelicans. He has been disappointing since joining Chicago in 2021, with averages of 9.7 points. 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 200+ games. Lastly, the two first-round picks are quite valuable for the Bulls, as they could use them to pick prospects or involve them in bigger trades.

Cleveland Cavaliers

Potential Trade Package

Cavaliers Receive: Kyle Kuzma

Wizards Receive: Isaac Okoro, Max Strus, 2031 First-Round Pick (Cavaliers), 2025 Second-Round Pick (via Bucks), 2027 Second-Round Pick (via Nuggets)

Kyle Kuzma is always involved in trade rumors, and the Cleveland Cavaliers could be the best fit. After two seasons of scoring 20+ points per game, the one-time champion averages 15.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists a night. That is a down year, but he can pick it back up when he is with the Eastern Conference leaders.

The Wizards will get a proven defender in Okoro, who has upside with his shooting. He won’t be the go-to guy like Kuzma, but you can always rely on him to play hard. This trade will only happen around mid-January because of Okoro’s late extension during the summer.

Getting Max Strus is also a good move because he is a good shooter and can get traded in the summer of 2025 to teams looking for reliable shooters. One first-round pick in 2031 could be good for the Wizards, while the two second-round picks could be good players.

Dallas Mavericks

Potential Trade Offer

Mavericks Receive: Herb Jones

Pelicans Receive: Jaden Hardy, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Quentin Grimes, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Mavericks)

Since the Pelicans are having a fire sale, they might be willing to trade defensive ace Herbert Jones to the Dallas Mavericks. He is averaging 11.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, but he is even more valuable on defense for Dallas. Jones steps up to the plate and takes on the challenge of stopping the opponent’s best player.

The Pelicans will receive some promising players in return, but parting ways with one of the league’s top defenders will hurt. Jaden Hardy could become the point guard of the future with his athleticism and natural feel for the game. Olivier-Maxence Prosper can grow into a 3-and-D role while Quentin Grimes can continue his role as a steady shooting guard on both ends.

Denver Nuggets

Potential Trade Offer

Nuggets Receive: Zach LaVine, Julian Phillips, 2028 Top-10 Protected First-Round Pick

Bulls Receive: Michael Porter Jr., Zeke Nnaji

The Denver Nuggets are looking for more offensive options, and trading away Michael Porter Jr. might be the right move, especially if Zach LaVine is the primary piece in return. He averages 22 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, alongside his ability to create for himself.

With that scoring punch, the Nuggets might have a big three with Jamal Murray, three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, and LaVine. If they can get that up and running, Michael Porter Jr. moving to the Chicago Bulls can be an easier pill to swallow, since he is a top-tier shooter.

Detroit Pistons

Potential Trade Offer

Pistons Receive: Zion Williamson, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl

Pelicans Receive: Jalen Duren, Isaiah Stewart, Tim Hardaway Jr., 2029 First-Round Pick (via Pistons)

The Detroit Pistons can also benefit from the New Orleans Pelicans’ impending fire sale where they could make a massive swing at Zion Williamson.

With his averages of 22.7 points, eight rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game, there is potential for him to become the go-to guy again. He just needs to get healthy because if he does join the Pistons at full strength, he and Cade Cunningham will have a formidable partnership.

The promising point guard has been superb this season, averaging 24 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game. That playmaking could make him the most optimal partner for Williamson. Having Jeremiah Robinson-Earl in the deal is even better since he is an athletic big who could be one of the backups on the bench.

New Orleans will receive a promising big man with Jalen Duren. He averages 9.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this season, but he can become a walking double-double. Isaiah Stewart is having a down year, averaging only six points, six rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, but he can always be a reliable player off the bench like veteran Tim Hardaway Jr.

Golden State Warriors

Potential Trade Offer

Warriors Receive: Myles Turner

Pelicans Receive: Jonathan Kuminga, Trayce Jackson-Davis, 2027 First-Round Pick (via Warriors)

Getting Myles Turner could give the Golden State Warriors a fantastic defensive anchor in the center position with his shot-blocking instincts. He is a well-rounded player on both sides, averaging 15 points, seven rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game.

The Pacers will benefit from this by getting rising star Jonathan Kuminga. He averages 15.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and two assists per game. The 22-year-old forward could be a breakout player in Indiana, especially with a playmaker like Tyrese Haliburton, averaging 8.7 assists a night this season.

Trayce Jackson-Davis is also an underrated pickup in this mock trade because he has a good touch around the rim, making him a strong pick-and-roll option. Combine that with the 2027 first-round pick, and the Pacers can get another promising player in the draft or through a trade.

Houston Rockets

Potential Trade Offer

Rockets Receive: Jimmy Butler

Pelicans Receive: Jabari Smith Jr., Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, Cam Whitmore, 2027 First-Round Pick (via Suns)

Since Jimmy Butler is available at a good price by the Miami Heat, the Houston Rockets can make a high-risk move by proposing a trade. The Rockets have a 19-9 record, good for third in the Western Conference.

That kind of record could propel them to title contention, especially if they have a player like Butler on the roster. The six-time All-Star is averaging 18.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game this season, which could be the missing piece for the Rockets.

They will have to trade promising players like Jabari Smith Jr. and Cam Whitmore, but that is all worth it if they get a superstar like Butler. Veterans Dillon Brooks and Steven Adams could contribute to the Heat after this mock trade.

Indiana Pacers

Potential Trade Offer

Pacers Receive: Brandon Ingram

Pelicans Receive: Myles Turner, Aaron Nesmith, 2028 First-Round Draft Pick

The Indiana Pacers can swing for the fences with Brandon Ingram, a star player who could be a game-changer for any team because his future in New Orleans is unclear. The 6’8” forward has played well for the Pelicans this season, averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. He could be a strong contributor in Indiana as a starting forward alongside Pascal Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton.

Giving up Myles Turner will be tough because he has been with the team for almost a decade. He has averaged 15 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.1 blocks per game this season, which cements his status as a top center. However, he, Aaron Nesmith, and the 2028 first-round pick compose the optimal package to send over to New Orleans for Ingram.

Los Angeles Clippers

Potential Trade Offer

Clippers Receive: Julius Randle

Timberwolves Receive: Norman Powell, Nicolas Batum, 2031 First-Round Pick

Many have floated this trade around the NBA community, and it is easy to see why. The Minnesota Timberwolves can work out another retooling process after the blockbuster trade in the summer of 2024 by re-routing Julius Randle to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Randle can provide the Clippers with more offensive balance, as he can take the offensive load away from James Harden and Kawhi Leonard when he returns. The Timberwolves forward averages 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and four assists. Norman Powell will be missed, but his blazing start to the 24-25 season might not work out in the long run.

With Nicolas Batum as a throw-in, the Timberwolves will want to get that 2031 first-round pick. It will be useful in the long run in potential trades Minnesota can do.

Los Angeles Lakers

Potential Trade Offer

Lakers Receive: Jerami Grant

Trail Blazers Receive: D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen Hood-Schifino, 2029 First-Round Pick (via Lakers), 2025 Second-Round Pick (via Clippers)

Jerami Grant can be a game-changer for the Los Angeles Lakers because he gives reliable scoring from the forward position. He and LeBron James will form a strong partnership there because of Grant’s athleticism and natural scoring ability.

The averages of 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists are not that encouraging, but he is not given the right offensive sets in Portland. Under JJ Redick, that could change because he will be taking more open shots within the system.

D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Jalen Hood-Schifino will have a new start in the Pacific Northwest. However, Russell does not look like a long-term option, given his deal expires by the end of the 24-25 season.

Hood-Schifino also does not look like a long-term option, so this could end up being a salary dump for Grant, aside from Vanderbilt who has a longer deal.

Memphis Grizzlies

Potential Trade Offer

Grizzlies Receive: Cameron Johnson

Nets Receive: Marcus Smart, Vince Williams Jr., 2026 First-Round Pick

Even if the Nets have started the 24-25 season well, they will be likely sellers at the deadline. Cameron Johnson is the likeliest trade candidate, and he fits right in with the Memphis Grizzlies.

The forward is averaging 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. His 42.2% from three is also encouraging for a Grizzlies team looking for more shooters on the roster. Although, it would be tough to part ways with two key stoppers in Marcus Smart and Vince Williams Jr.

Miami Heat

Potential Trade Offer

Heat Receive: De’Aaron Fox

Kings Receive: Terry Rozier, Nikola Jovic, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, 2028 First-Round Pick, 2030 First-Round Pick, 2026 Second-Round Pick (via Lakers)

At 27, De’Aaron Fox is in his physical prime, which means he wants to compete for a championship. His best opportunity might be with the Miami Heat, where he could play with Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and Jimmy Butler.

The Heat must give a huge package for Fox, but with a combination of Terry Rozier, Nikola Jovic, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel’el Ware, and a bunch of draft picks, they could pull it off. It will be hard because the Sacramento Kings see Fox as the franchise player, but if he hands in a trade request, Miami will be there to send in a trade.

Milwaukee Bucks

Potential Trade Offer

Bucks Receive: Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, Santi Aldama, 2026 First-Round Pick

Grizzlies Receive: Khris Middleton, AJ Green, Chris Livingston

The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a strong NBA Cup run, where they won the trophy. However, that does not mean they should be complacent because they must capitalize on the trade market to win a championship. Initiating a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies might be their best choice, especially if they have some useful rotation pieces, especially at the wing.

Marcus Smart is the top prize, considering he is a fantastic defender to pair with Damian Lillard. The former Defensive Player of the Year has mediocre stats, averaging 9.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. However, his defensive prowess could become the key for the Bucks.

The rest of the package involves Luke Kennard and Santi Aldama, two superb role players for the Grizzlies. If they come to the Bucks, Coach Doc Rivers has a good supporting cast for Giannis Antetokounmpo that could elevate the team to more wins than expected.

On the other side, Memphis receives Khris Middleton who could be a secondary option to Ja Morant with scoring, while they also get a promising wing like Chris Livingston and a knockdown shooter with AJ Green, who shoots at a 45.9% clip.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Potential Trade Offer

Timberwolves Receive: Jabari Smith Jr., Steven Adams, Jeff Green, 2026 Second-Round Pick

Rockets Receive: Julius Randle

Committing to the younger players could be the key to the Minnesota Timberwolves’ long-term future with a trade that sends Julius Randle to the Houston Rockets. The package will be Jabari Smith Jr., Steven Adams, Jeff Green, and a 2026 Second-Round Pick.

Randle is averaging 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and four assists, which could be a boost for the Rockets in the same frontcourt as Alperen Sengun. It might sound like a suboptimal fit, but it could work given Randle can always adjust to most situations.

Smith will be phenomenal for the Timberwolves, forming a young core with Anthony Edwards. The 21-year-old averages 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in a down year, which could change in a trade to Minneapolis.

New Orleans Pelicans

Potential Trade Offer

Pelicans Receive: Jerami Grant, Shaedon Sharpe, 2027 First-Round Pick

Trail Blazers Receive: Zion Williamson

With the impending fire sale, the New Orleans Pelicans can send Zion Williamson for good value to the Portland Trail Blazers. Getting Jerami Grant is good because he is a reliable veteran who is much better than his averages of 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

The big fish in this trade for New Orleans is Shaedon Sharpe, an ultra-athletic guard averaging 17.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists this season. He has boundless potential, so the Blazers might refuse this trade.

Getting Zion Williamson could be the key to Portland’s long-term success. He has career averages of 24.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists, giving the Blazers the franchise cornerstone they have wanted since the Damian Lillard trade.

New York Knicks

Potential Trade Offer

Knicks Receive: Collin Sexton

Jazz receive: Mitchell Robinson, Cameron Payne, Tyler Kolek, 2025 Second-Round Pick (via Grizzlies), 2026 Second-Round Pick (via Celtics)

Collin Sexton could be a game-changer for the New York Knicks, especially if he is willing to come off the bench. He could be one of the league’s best sixth men after this mock trade. Sexton is averaging 16.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 48.9% from the field and 43.8% from three.

That kind of scoring punch is what the Knicks need outside of Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns. If they could pull this off, it’s a fantastic trade, considering the Jazz have an impending fire sale. A package of Mitchell Robinson, Cameron Payne, Tyler Kolek, and a couple of draft picks could be enough since Utah wants to rebuild again.

Oklahoma City Thunder

Potential Trade Offer

Thunder Receive: Cameron Johnson

Nets receive: Kenrich Williams, Ousmane Dieng, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Heat), 2027 First-Round Pick (via Nuggets)

Another championship contender can benefit from having Cameron Johnson on the roster. With averages of 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game on 42.2% shooting from beyond the arc, Johnson is the perfect piece for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s quest to win a championship.

The Nets get a promising prospect with Ousmane Dieng, a couple of good draft picks, and a veteran like Kenrich Williams who will guide the youngsters on the Brooklyn roster with this trade.

Orlando Magic

Potential Trade Offer

Magic Receive: Anfernee Simons

Trail Blazers Receive: Jonathan Isaac, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Nuggets), 2025 First-Round Pick, 2025 Second-Round Pick

After the long-term injuries to Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Mo Wagner, the Orlando Magic are in desperate need of a go-to guy. Why not go for the hometown kid, Anfernee Simons, who is playing for the Trail Blazers?

He can take over as the go-to option without the star players, as he is averaging 17.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. He is capable of more instead of playing in Chauncey Billups’ system. Simons can also fit in well with the star players when they make their comeback.

In return, the Blazers are getting a top-tier defender in Jonathan Isaac. The three draft picks are also valuable, as they are seeking out some useful draft compensation to use in future trades.

Philadelphia 76ers

Potential Trade Offer

76ers Receive: Benedict Mathurin

Pacers Receive: Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Council IV, 2026 First-Round Pick (via OKC), 2027 Second-Round Pick, 2031 Second-Round Pick (via Mavericks)

Bennedict Mathurin is having a career season, averaging 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He is worth the gamble for the Philadelphia 76ers because he can be a long-term shooting guard. At only 22, Mathurin could become the go-to option outside of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Paul George.

The Pacers can have some useful rotation players with Kelly Oubre Jr. and Ricky Council IV in return. However, the draft compensation will be useful because they are valuable in potential trades Indiana can make.

Phoenix Suns

Potential Trade Offer

Suns Receive: Clint Capela, Larry Nance Jr., Garrison Matthews

Hawks Receive: Jusuf Nurkic, Josh Okogie, Royce O’Neale, 2031 Second-Round Pick (via Nuggets)

Giving up useful rotation players is risky for the Phoenix Suns, but getting depth could also be good for the team. Jusuf Nurkic has been an unmitigated disaster for the Suns, so dealing him away for a more reliable center like Clint Capela would be great.

With averages of 10.0 points and 9.3 rebounds, Capela just has to play within his role and not get into other people’s way. If they pull that off, the Suns could become a stronger team, especially with a veteran like Larry Nance Jr. flanking him and Garrison Matthews being a valuable role player.

Portland Trail Blazers

Potential Trade Offer

Trail Blazers Receive: Keegan Murray, Kevin Huerter

Kings Receive: Jerami Grant

Since the Portland Trail Blazers want a full rebuild, getting younger players for the veterans is a good way to approach business. Sending Jerami Grant to the Sacramento Kings gives them a much-needed scoring punch with his 15.5 points per game, while the Blazers get Keegan Murray and Kevin Huerter in the deal.

Murray is only averaging 12.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game this season on an inefficient 30.3% clip from long distance. That might be enough for the Kings to give up on the project and send him over to the Pacific Northwest where he will reunite with his twin brother Kris Murray.

Sacramento Kings

Potential Trade Offer

Kings Receive: Zach LaVine

Bulls Receive: Malik Monk, Kevin Huerter, Trey Lyles, 2027 First-Round Pick

The Sacramento Kings have struggled this season with a lackluster record, so getting a proven scorer like Zach LaVine might be the way to go. He is having a resurgent season, averaging 22.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game, which could prove useful for the Kings where he reunites with DeMar DeRozan.

The Chicago Bulls get some useful players that could elevate them with their scoring punch. However, they could also get used in further trades to bring more assets to the rebuilding Bulls.

San Antonio Spurs

Potential Trade Offer

Spurs Receive: Jalen Duren

Pistons Receive: Jeremy Sochan, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Bulls), 2026 First-Round Pick (via Hawks), 2027 First-Round Pick (via Hawks)

As one of the most promising centers in the NBA, Jalen Duren could become a fantastic partner for Victor Wembanyama. This opens the door for the Frenchman to embrace the power forward role where he could be more creative on offense while Duren covers the paint.

With stats like 9.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, Duren can become a higher-level supporting center for the San Antonio Spurs. It will be tough to part ways with Jeremy Sochan, but having the optimal fit alongside Wembanyama is the priority, especially with his averages of 24.7 points, 10 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.6 blocks per game.

Toronto Raptors

Potential Trade Offer

Raptors Receive: Jonathan Isaac, 2025 First-Round Pick (via Nuggets)

Magic Receive: Chris Boucher, Kelly Olynyk

There are limited high-risk moves for the Toronto Raptors, considering they are in rebuilding mode. However, getting a proven top-tier defender like Jonathan Isaac would be a great move, which requires them to part ways with Toronto mainstay Chris Boucher and Canadian native Kelly Olynyk.

With Isaac in Toronto, they will have a top-tier defender who could play small forward up to center. Scottie Barnes is the undisputed star, but having Isaac gives him the necessary support for a stronger defense.

Utah Jazz

Potential Trade Offer

Jazz Receive: Mitchell Robinson

Knicks Receive: Jordan Clarkson

Like the Toronto Raptors, the Utah Jazz has limited risks because of the impending rebuild. Trading away their sixth-man extraordinaire Jordan Clarkson could be the start of the fire sale because that makes them lose a Jazz mainstay, who has averaged 17.5 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.2 assists per game across his six seasons with the team.

With Mitchell Robinson going to Utah, he will provide them with a reliable center to protect the rim and finish easy lobs when he returns from injury. He will likely be the starter, considering Walker Kessler will be traded too.

Washington Wizards

Potential Trade Offer

Wizards Receive: Andrew Wiggins, 2027 First-Round Pick, 2026 Second-Round Pick

Warriors Receive: Kyle Kuzma

With the Washington Wizards looking to move more players at the deadline, Kyle Kuzma is the most appealing one. They could give him to the Golden State Warriors for Andrew Wiggins, a 2027 first-round pick, and one 2026 second-round pick, which could prove useful in trades.

Wiggins is having a decent year, averaging 17.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. However, Kuzma might be the better choice since he fits well into the system as a go-to score and a hustle player, as he is averaging 15.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists a night.
