Forward Paul George is one of the best players on the Los Angeles Clippers, and there is no doubt that he has been valuable for the franchise. He is a do-it-all forward, who excels on both ends of the floor.

Despite his talent, Paul George has been featured in trade rumors as of late. He has had injury issues over the last few seasons, and the Clippers have underachieved during his tenure. Recently. NBA insider Howard Beck revealed that Paul George might be available for trade.

“Paul George might be in play… everything since then has validated that. I think he is in play… Paul George is certainly available. They aren’t trying to give him away, but they are trying to pivot… They do have a franchise-wide frustration with the way that this era has gone.”

It would make sense for the Los Angeles Clippers to try and explore trade avenues for Paul George. He is one of their best players and is thus likely one of their best trade chips.

During the 2022-23 regular season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul George averaged 23.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 5.1 APG. He is the three-level scoring forward that every modern team needs to win championships, and it will be interesting to see if he does end up getting moved.

The New York Knicks Reportedly Wanted To Trade For Paul George

It seems as though some teams have already inquired about Paul George’s potential availability. A previous report suggested that the New York Knicks contacted the Los Angeles Clippers about a Paul George trade.

“The Knicks and Clippers have had contact about a potential Paul George trade, per SNY sources. It is unknown if the Clippers are willing to move George. Marc Stein reported earlier that Clips gave rival teams the impression that they were gauging George’s trade value last week.”

It remains to be seen if the New York Knicks do end up acquiring Paul George. He is clearly a player that could end up being a difference-maker for them, and perhaps he is the piece to make them a true contender in the Eastern Conference. George would certainly help on the offensive side of the ball. Hopefully, we see the two sides work things out, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
