NBA Rumors: “75% Chance Or Better” Miami Heat Trade Tyler Herro This Offseason

2 Min Read

Tyler Herro has had a solid sophomore season, where he averaged 15.1 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 3.4 APG. Herro is a solid player who can create his own shot and shoot the basketball. He is a good young player that could eventually develop into a consistent scorer.

Despite his potential, the Miami Heat could potentially be looking to win now. Jimmy Butler will be turning 32 soon, and it is possible that the organization will make a win-now move in order to attempt a championship run. Ethan Skolnick, a Miami Heat insider has recently revealed that there is a high chance that Tyler Herro gets traded this offseason.

I have now heard that there is a 75% chance or better that he (Herro) is traded this offseason. In fact when I’ve thrown out 75%, several league sources, they’ve told me that’s low. There’s a number of reasons for this.

The major reason is this. Pat Riley mentioned that Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are the core 2. He only threw Tyler Herro in, because he was asked specifically about Tyler Herro. As we talked about, at the end of every presser, he pumps an asset… Tyler Herro is virtually their only asset right now… They don’t have assets… But what I’ve been told is just Tyler Herro is not on Jimmy Butler’s clock… Jimmy Butler is ready to win now.

It makes sense that Tyler Herro would have to be included in any trade package that the Miami Heat send out for an All-Star caliber player. He is a promising young player who could improve with more usage. While obviously there hasn’t been a trade agreed to yet, if this report is to be believed, Tyler Herro could be on the move this coming offseason.
