NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns Are Interested In Trading For Bojan Bogdanovic

The Utah Jazz are a team that is clearly engaged in a full-scale rebuild. They have already traded their two stars this offseason, with the team moving Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers and sending Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

It seems as though the Utah Jazz might not be done making moves. A recent report by Jazz Insider Tony Jones revealed that the Utah Jazz are engaged in trade conversations surrounding veteran players such as Mike Conley, Jordan Clarkson, and Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Jazz are, according to sources, also engaged in trade conversations around some remaining pieces, namely veterans forward Bojan Bogdanovic, guard Mike Conley and guard Jordan Clarkson. But, with Mitchell now in Cleveland and Rudy Gobert in Minnesota, the franchise has officially turned the page on that era. For the Jazz, it’s all about how to begin a new chapter they hope can possibly lead to a title.

Though all three of those players could potentially be helpful to teams around the league, contenders will most likely be looking at Bojan Bogdanovic. During his time in the league, Bogdanovic has made a name for himself as a consistent and efficient shooter.

The Phoenix Suns Want To Trade For Bojan Bogdanovic

It seems as though there are already teams trying to attempt to make a trade for Bojan Bogdanovic. That is no surprise, as the forward’s talents make him a good complementary player around almost any star in the league.

NBA insider John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports revealed that the Phoenix Suns have already “reached out” to the Utah Jazz about acquiring the forward after Donovan Mitchell was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday.

The Phoenix Suns have interest in trading for Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic, Arizona Sports’ John Gambadoro reported Thursday evening.

Phoenix reportedly reached out to the Jazz about the 33-year-old following Utah’s trade of All-Star Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

Bogdanovic is entering a contract year after scoring 18.1 points per game in 69 starts last season.

Bogdanovic hit 38.7% of his shots beyond the arc in 2021-22 for a Utah team that earned the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference, plus he has playoff experience with 47 career games.

There is no doubt that Bojan Bogdanovic would be a good fit within Monty Williams’ system. He would likely end up starting at the PF position or playing as the sixth man for the Suns if here were traded there. Bojan Bogdanovic’s playoff experience and skillset suggest that he will be a true difference-maker for the team.

There have been other teams that have been linked to Bojan Bogdanovic, such as the Los Angeles Lakers. It is clear that the Phoenix Suns will have some competition in trading for him, and we’ll see which team ends up coming out on top in the sweepstakes for the veteran forward.
