Aaron Gordon has been a name that has been mentioned in many trade rumors ahead of the deadline. Aaron Gordon is currently averaging 14.7 PPG and 6.8 RPG while shooting 40.2% from beyond the arc. Gordon is an athletic power forward who can get to the rim well but also space the floor. He would be a great piece for a team that needs a complementary player around a superstar.
One of the teams that could potentially target Aaron Gordon is the Portland Trail Blazers. According to Kevin O’Connor, it seems like the Trail Blazers could choose to go after Gordon, and it seems like Damian Lillard wants him on the roster as well.
โI donโt know if Portland is going to get him…But Iโve also heard Portland and Damian Lillard especially want Aaron Gordon on the Blazers.โ

Aaron Gordon has a lot of suitors, and obviously, there is no guarantee that the Trail Blazers will manage to trade for him. But if he were to go to the Trail Blazers, he could be a great fit on the roster. Aaron Gordon would allow the team to put more floor spacing around Damian Lillard: he is also an underrated defender. Aaron Gordon’s two-way presence could be amazing for a team that needs that lockdown defender.
Aaron Gordon’s skills lend themselves perfectly to playing with a high usage superstar, and to providing supplementary scoring. While Aaron Gordon might not ever make it to Portland, it definitely seems like an intriguing destination for the big man.
