The New York Knicks completed another phenomenal comeback to take a 2-0 lead in their playoff series against the Boston Celtics. The 91-90 result in Game 2, featuring yet another 20-point comeback, had Knicks fans going crazy inside and outside the arena, much to the dismay of some Celtics fans who had to deal with the raucous celebrations.
Following the result of Game 2, Knicks fans could be seen celebrating inside the TD Garden after their team blitzed the Celtics. While the final moments of the game certainly garnered this kind of adrenaline rush, the fan celebrations weren’t welcomed by the home fans in Boston.
In a video, one Celtics arena coordinator tried to get security to kick the remaining Knicks fans out of the arena to prevent them from celebrating further.
“Security help! Help!” yelled the coordinator, trying to get Knicks fans to stop chanting. “Get them out.”
The Celtics fan tried to get one specific fan kicked out. “Get this man out, right now,” she repeated. The Knicks fan in question defended himself by saying “I didn’t touch her” repeatedly.

The coordinator’s efforts were to no avail as the Knicks’ mob started chanting “Knicks in 4”, calling for the sweep as the series went home to Madison Square Garden for the next set of games.
Meanwhile, fans in New York echoed the chants of their compatriots in Boston. Videos of Knicks fans bringing out the brooms for the Celtics swept across social media.
The raw excitement of Knicks fans is a clear depiction of how important this win was to the fanbase. Going up against the reigning champions in the Eastern Conference semifinals is no easy feat. But New York looks like they have taken control of the series.
Game 2 saw some spectacular performances by the Knicks players. Featuring another masterful comeback performance by the team, the winning effort was led by Josh Hart, who had a team-high 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three crucial steals.
The other major contributor on offense was Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns. Although Towns was relatively quiet in Game 1, he had a solid performance of 21 points and 17 rebounds to aid the Knicks’ comeback charge.
The final frame of the game saw the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year step up to the plate yet again. Jalen Brunson recorded nine of his 17 points on the night in the fourth, including two crucial free throws in the final seconds of the game to seal the win.
However, the player who deserves the most credit for Wednesday night’s win is Knicks forward Mikal Bridges. The 28-year-old scored all 14 of his points in Game 2 in the fourth quarter and came up with yet another clutch defensive play to steal the win on the road. His impact on winning can be felt in light of the two game-winning plays he’s made in back-to-back games.
The Knicks’ dominant performance showcased the glaring flaws in Boston’s approach. With all the momentum necessary, New York will aim to complete the sweep on their home floor on Saturday at 3:30 pm ET.
