Nikola Jokic finally got his hands on his very first NBA title after he led the Denver Nuggets to a 94-89 win in Game 5 over the Miami Heat.

His averages of 30.2 PPG, 14.0 RPG, 7.2 APG, 0.8 SPG, and 1.4 BPG saw the Joker be named Finals MVP and afterward, Nike released a hilarious commercial to celebrate the Serb’s triumph.

“So a Serbian guy walks into an arena. Wins an MVP. Wins another one. Helps lead his team to the playoffs. Then the Finals. Wins a ring. Brings a city together. And everyone is happy. That’s it. That’s the punchline. No Joke.”

That is just about the perfect Jokic commercial there can be. There’s nothing too flashy about it and it is pretty much to the point, with some humor mixed along the way. That’s just who Jokic is and Nike deserves a lot of credit for coming up with it.

Perhaps their next course of action could be releasing a signature shoe for the Serbian as his popularity is growing at a rapid rate. Whether Jokic wants one though is a question worth asking, as he has never really shown any desire in having a signature shoe in all these years.

Nikola Jokic Just Wants To Go Back Home After The Finals

Jokic is now at the top of the basketball world after winning the title and Finals MVP but it seems he doesn’t care all that much about it. When asked what winning a title feels like, he hilariously said the job is done and they can go home now.

Later during his press conference, Jokic wasn’t too happy when he found out their parade was on Thursday. He stated he needs to go home, but the Nuggets certainly won’t let him go back to Serbia that quickly.

Jokic is just one of those individuals who aren’t interested in all the fame and attention that comes with being a superstar. When the day comes that he decides to walk away from the game, we probably won’t ever hear from him again, as he’d be busy having a good time taking care of his horses in Serbia.
