Nikola Jokic Was Mad At One Referee After A No-Call: “Why The F**k Are You Laughing At Me?”

2 Min Read

Nikola Jokic was visibly mad at one referee on Tuesday night when his Denver Nuggets took on the Portland Trail Blazers in a very interesting duel. These two teams have given us very good matches in recent seasons and this one wasn’t the exception.

The Nuggets won the game, 116-111 to improve to 17-14, getting closer to their Tuesday’s rivals in the Western Conference. It was a good game for them but Jokic didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t granted a foul on Enes Kanter and was furious when one official ignored his requests and started laughing at him. He didn’t get the and-1 and was trying to get an explanation from the referee, who just laughed at him, sparking something inside the Joker.

“Why are you laughing at me? Why are you laughing at me? Why the f*ck are you laughing at me?” Jokic repeatedly said, showing his frustration with the ref.

His words earned him a technical foul, which made things worse for the player. In the end, he had the last laugh since his team won the game but he was clearly unhappy with the referees ignoring that call on Kanter.

After going through a rocky period, the Nuggets seem to be getting things back on track and as long as they have Jokic, they have a chance to compete in the West. Right now they’re 7th in the conference, 1 game behind the Blazers and Spurs. The Serbian big man finished with 41 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 38 minutes of play.
