Patrick Beverley is not going to show it, but he is definitely living the dream by being the biggest offseason acquisition of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are a historic franchise, and being able to contribute to their legacy is a massive opportunity for any player. Considering the circumstances the team is in right now, Beverley could come in and fundamentally change how their locker room functions.

Beverley is going to try and ensure that this team is good enough the make the playoffs, as he has never missed the postseason in his career. He’s already taunted LeBron James and Anthony Davis for failing to make the playoffs last season and has put pressure on everyone around him to not have another disappointing season.

PatBev walked into his Lakers unveiling in a good mood and greeted the media members with a loud hello, which generated a tepid response. Beverley didn’t like that, as he pointed out the weak response before laughing it off and answering questions.

Is Patrick Beverley Going To Change The Culture For The Lakers?

Patrick Beverley can be one of the most impactful players for the Lakers, provided he is used right. He had a bad year shooting the ball in Minnesota but can be a reliable open threat in a way Russ wasn’t all season long.

Beverley isn’t scared of anyone or anything, so he is definitely going to have uncomfortable conversations with both LeBron and AD if he feels the need to do so. Everybody on the Lakers will play to a higher standard if they can all unite in the quest for greatness once again.

PatBev isn’t the most polished player when it comes to skill, but LeBron and AD are precisely that. Having a gritty and energetic player like Beverley can accentuate what they do well and, hopefully, turn the Lakers into a winning franchise once again.
