Patrick Beverley and Chris Paul have had one of the fiercest rivalries in NBA recently. With the absence of Rajon Rondo, Bev has taken over as Paul’s archrival, and things have gotten out of control between these two more than once.

A couple of seasons ago, Bev shoved Chris Paul in the back, starring in a very controversial moment that earned him a lot of criticism. Ever since that moment, it was pretty clear that he didn’t want anything with CP3, and it was the other way around too.

During the offseason, Beverley had an agenda against Paul, taking every opportunity he had to criticize the veteran player. He made it clear he would go after Paul whenever he had the chance, and he’s living to his word.

Patrick Beverley Isn’t Done Attacking Chris Paul

During a recent edition of Kevin Hart’s “Cold as Balls” show, Beverley called out the ‘Lob City’ Clippers for their inability to make it past the second round of the playoffs, something that the last team Beverley was on did, the same year he shoved CP3.

“Chris Paul was on the Clippers,” he said. “Then he left and I came on the Clippers. The Clippers went to the Western Conference Finals the only time. They didn’t go there with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Lob City. They went there with me.

“For them to come in and ‘We’re only looking for you get 5 or 6 million dollars,’ I felt like that was the ultimate spit to my face when I literally just changed this whole organization around, we went to Western Conference finals. I didn’t think I got the fair end of the stick.”

Love him or hate him, you must accept that Beverley has a solid point there. Those Clippers had everything to be successful in the Western Conference and blew chance after chance. They even had a huge collapse in 2015 when they blew a 3-1 advantage against the Houston Rockets.

They were expected to become what the Golden State Warriors ended up becoming, so you know those Clippers were a big failure given the expectations around them and all the talent they had during those years.
