Paul George is looking ahead to the 2022-23 NBA season with as much hope as he can. His LA Clippers are well-positioned to push for contention with their extremely versatile roster featuring multiple wings from top to bottom. This is very exciting for many as this roster almost made the playoffs last year despite injuries to George and star Kawhi Leonard.

PG13 has been working on his craft this offseason, being a regular member of the Rico Hines open runs in LA. Hines is an assistant coach on the Toronto Raptors, so multiple players have been consistently present at these runs. This includes the likes of Pascal Siakam, who has been spotted in multiple clips alongside the likes of PG, Stephen Curry, Trae Young, and Patrick Beverley.

After the Hines run finally ended, PG13 decided to speak to the media about what his active participation felt like. He also decided to comment on how the Raptors roster was present at every single run the coach did, saying they have to come out to start the season hot.

“Shoutout Toronto, man. Y’all came and y’all represented,” George said. “It’s crazy, I saw y’all on YouTube the first week, came and played the second week, now it’s Week 3… and y’all still here. I’d be disappointed, coaches, if y’all ain’t come out hot to start the season.”

The Raptors will be going into the next season with a positive mindset after their underdog run to the playoffs last year. While they lost in the first round, it was farther than they were expected to reach. With the development of Scottie Barnes, the team could possibly cement a top-4 seed in the East.

The Raptors pride themselves in the hard work they put in and this offseason has proven that based on what Paul George had to say about their commitment. It’s a very exciting roster and a big year for them to prove what their true capabilities on the floor are. With a solid core of players like Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes, and Pascal Siakam, the Raptors are already looking primed to build a contender again.
