Paul George made a trip to China as part of a promotional tour for Nike. George got to interact with several fans in the country, as China has a massive basketball culture. George shared a picture with one fan, who revealed to him a tattoo he had of George’s face and his Nike PG logo.

This fan clearly has a deep love for George as a player, as he got him permanently inked onto his skin. It is great to see George, a player who has been in the NBA for almost 15 years now, get his flowers from his fanbase. This trip to China will be a reminder to George that he is one of the biggest stars in the league.

George’s interactions with these fans should even fuel him to have a great next season next year. With George signing with the 76ers for four years, and $212 million, he has his best chance to win an NBA championship since the 2020-21 NBA season when he and Kawhi Leonard’s Clippers were considered one of the favorites.

George, now playing alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, has a great roster, but will face stiff competition in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers are among the favorites in the East along with the reigning champions Celtics, and the Knicks who recently added Mikal Bridges to their roster.

For PG-13, his quest to win an NBA championship is in the final stages, as he is entering the tail-end of his career now. And his championship window will only get smaller from here on out, so he and the 76ers must give it their all and try to secure a championship in the next few seasons.

How Well Will Paul George Do With The 76ers?

Paul George is coming off a decent season with the Clippers, where he averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists as he helped the Clippers secure the fourth seed in the Western Conference. However, injuries to Kawhi Leonard cost them greatly, as George and James Harden couldn’t even get the Clippers past the Mavericks in the first round.

Continuous and repeated playoff disappointments must have played a big role in George’s decision to leave the Clippers. But the main issue came down to the Clippers refusing to give him the contract he wanted, which was a four-year max contract. Luckily for George, the 76ers were more than willing to give him the deal he wanted.

With a solid roster now assembled, George and the 76ers will have to show that they are contenders in the East. In recent years, the 76ers haven’t been able to prove their status as contenders, as they’ve not made an Eastern Conference Finals in the Joel Embiid era.

Now boasting an excellent roster and three star-level players, the 76ers need to capitalize on this and try and push through the playoffs and reach at least the conference finals. Anything less than that can and should be considered a disappointment.
