Phoenix Suns Are Reportedly Unwilling To Offer 4 Picks And 3 Swap Picks For Kevin Durant: “Who Else Is Offering That? Nobody.”

2 Min Read

The Kevin Durant saga doesn’t have a foreseeable ending as of right now. The Brooklyn Nets superstar is trying to find a new team in the NBA, but given his status as one of the best five players in the association, the Nets are trying to get the maximum revenue for his talents.

KD reportedly has the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns on his wishlist, but these teams aren’t showing enough interest to trade for him or are unwilling to give the Nets all the assets they’re asking for the 2014 NBA MVP.

According to Brian Windhorst, the Suns are waiting for their chance to make a move for KD, hoping that the asking price gets a little lower and the Nets are more flexible about the players they would receive in exchange for the 2x NBA champion.

“The Suns aren’t currently offering four picks and three swaps and that is why we are talking about the gap. And that trade isn’t even that great, but I don’t even think the Suns are there yet, because who else is offering that? Nobody.”

Nobody in the league is offering that type of deal, indeed. In fact, the Minnesota Timberwolves recently rejected an offer that would have shipped Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and four draft picks to Brooklyn, so you know that not everybody is actually trying to get Durant’s services.

More teams like the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, and even the 2022 champions Golden State Warriors have been mentioned as potential destinations for KD. Still, the same issue appears: they don’t want to give up so much for a 34-year-old Durant.

This saga won’t end now, and we could see KD on the Nets roster on opening night, so it’s better to sit and wait than speculate about what will happen with the veteran forward.
