Raja Bell Reminds Shaq O’Neal Of When He Was Criticized By NBA Legends: “You Should Understand.”

Shaquille O’Neal has been involved in some controversies recently after he decided to attack NBA players for no reason. He’s made some questionable comments over the course of the years but this season he’s taken things to the next level.

After attacking Rudy Gobert and his max contract extension, he went after Gobert’s teammate Donovan Mitchell, raising a lot of eyebrows in the league when he told the Utah Jazz star that he didn’t have what it takes to win in the league. That has been a recurrent topic of debate in the league for the past couple of weeks and that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.

People have chimed in, making things clear for Shaq, including Charles Barkley, who told the former big man he would be part of the league if he played right now. Well, now Raja Bell has given his two pennies on this matter, reminding Shaq that he was also a player getting criticized by an NBA legend, claiming he should be the first one understanding why that is wrong.

At the time, Bill Walton was one of the biggest critics of Shaq and he didn’t miss a chance to mess with the 4x NBA champion. Talking with The Ringer’s Logan Murdock during a podcast, Bell reminded everybody that Shaq was once the victim and not the victimizer.

“When I was growing up, and Bill Walton was getting on his head and he was the same way. That’s why it’s wild to see Shaq in this position. Because people were saying that about him and he was getting really offended. He was one of those guys that was getting that. So that’s why it’s like Shaq, you should understand.”

Mitchell is one of the most promising players in the league and this season he’s taken things to the next level. Spyda is ready to leave his mark on the Jazz and alongside Gobert, take this team to the promised land. They are playing great basketball this season, being one of the best teams in the league and regardless of what people think, they’re still going at it every night.
