Luka Doncic is one of the brightest young talents in the NBA. Doncic is currently averaging 28.4 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 9.1 APG. Those are stellar numbers for a rising star in the NBA and are even more amazing when we realize that it is barely his 3rd year in the NBA. Luka Doncic is already a superstar, and he could potentially dominate the league for years to come in the future.

Luka Doncic can do absolutely anything on the court offensively, either creating his own shot or setting up his teammate with an easy pass. Doncic is someone you can leave alone as a coach, and just let him get to work cooking the opposing defense. Rick Carlisle seems to feel a similar sentiment, stating that you can just give Luka Doncic the ball. An article by Tumaini Carayol of Yahoo Sports relayed Carlisle’s words.

“You’re constantly talking to players about not jumping in the air and trying to make decisions,” Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said afterwards, laughing. “I mean, this guy defies a lot of logic when it comes to conventional coaching theories.”

“That’s why we give him the ball and let him go.”

Luka Doncic is someone who can be the focal point of a team’s offensive plan, as he can always pinpoint the right play. Doncic’s basketball IQ is one of the best in the league, and he is the type of player who can get everyone involved while taking the right decision almost every time. Luka Doncic is the type of player who can dominate the entire game from start to finish, and the Dallas Mavericks are lucky to have him.
