Rockets GM Daryl Morey Exposes And Roasts Colin Cowherd On Twitter

2 Min Read

Colin Cowherd has never been a big believer in the Harden and Russ combo in Houston. To start the season, and all throughout these past few months, he has routinely pointed out their flaws to explain why they will fail to win the 2019-20 Championship.

He has criticized everything from their ball-dominant playstyle, their defensive lapses, and even their highly-unprecedented small-ball strategy.

But if the Rockets have proved anything since play began in the Orlando bubble, it’s that they deserve to be included among the best in the West. On Twitter, Rockets GM Daryl Morey didn’t waste the opportunity to rub it in the face of one of his team’s biggest critics: Fox Sports analyst, Colin Cowherd.

He dug up an old segment from Colin’s show, “The Herd,” in which he left Russ and Harden off his list of the league’s top ten best duos.

He didn’t stop there, tho. He followed that Tweet up with another one, writing that the sports analyst deserved a spot in the “OldTakesExposed” Hall of Fame.

Obviously, Morey doesn’t take to Colin’s heavy criticism too kindly — but that shouldn’t be much of a surprise to anyone. The GM has never been shy about supporting his club.

As for Colin, we shouldn’t expect an apology any time soon. Despite the Rockets’ hot start during this bubble, they have yet to win anything of importance. If they really want to prove Mr. Cowherd wrong, they’ll have to win when it actually matters.
