Even when it comes to practice, Westbrook brings his A-game. In a recent video posted on SportsCenter’s Instagram page, Westbrook is seen practicing solo in the gym.
He tells the trainer, who was setting a screen for the defender, to do a better job and put more effort into it, rather than having a relaxed and lackadaisical body language.
Westbrook then went on to get past the defender and dunk the ball in signature fashion. Whether it’s a Game 7 situation or just a solo practice session, Westbrook puts everything into his game.
Westbrook’s biggest criticism is that he doesn’t play winning basketball, choosing to focus more on his individual statistics rather than trying to win the game. But no one can deny that Westbrook doesn’t give his all when he takes to the court.
This attitude is what makes his move to the Los Angeles Lakers so exciting. The Lakers will be hoping that he can bring his explosiveness to the team, and help the Lakers get back to winning an NBA championship.
