Russell Westbrook’s Wife Posts Video Of Her Husband After He Requested A Trade From Houston

2 Min Read

Russell Westbrook is the man of the hour in the NBA, for better or worse. The All-Star point guard has requested a trade from the Houston Rockets after only one season with the teams and fans are still processing all the things happening within the organization. Russ landed in Houston in the blockbuster trade that sent Chris Paul to the Oklahoma City Thunder last year.

Now things have changed a lot for Westbrook since his days with the Rockets are counted. After the news of his trade request saw the light, his wife, Nina Earl, shared a video of Westbrook having a little celebration with some wine. It’s unclear if he wasn’t celebrating asking out of the Rockets, too, but the main reason why he was drinking wine was that today is his birthday.

Russ is turning 32 years old today and he was celebrating since last night. Perhaps the fact that he is leaving the Rockets added more happiness to this day, as he looked very chill, enjoying himself while his wife recorded and congratulated him.

Even the Rockets, a couple of hours after he requested a trade from the organization, sent him a message for his birthday.

Westbrook has averaged 23.2 points, 7.1 boards and 8.3 assists during his career. It remains to be seen where he will play next season, but he won’t miss suitors, that’s for sure.
