Shams Charania Says Chris Paul Status For The Start Of The Western Conference Finals Is Currently Up In The Air Due To Health And Safety Protocols

After three weeks full of joy, the Phoenix Suns have received bad news regarding their veteran star Chris Paul. The 36-year-old has played great basketball this season, taking the team to the 2nd seed in the Western Conference and the Western Conference Finals. But, now, his status for the upcoming series is reportedly unknown due to health and safety protocols.

This is the last thing the Suns wanted to hear after the magical performances by Paul. The so-called “Point God” had terrific series against the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets. Starting the WCF without him will be a big blow for the Suns, but things can still improve.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the player has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and will be sidelined indefinitely.

Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and is sidelined for an indefinite period of time, sources tell The Athletic.

Paul’s status is up in the air for the start of the Western Conference finals, according to sources. Paul’s Suns will face the winner of the Jazz-Clippers series, which is tied 2-2.

Depending on the medical circumstance, an isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated individual.

This situation doesn’t look favorable for the Suns. Paul has a history of injuries, and this year they didn’t seem to be that serious. Yet, things could get more complex now that he entered the league’s health and safety protocol.

We hope that he feels ok and is ready to go for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
