Shannon Sharpe Strongly Criticizes Kawhi Leonard And Paul George After Clippers’ Loss To Mavericks

The Los Angeles Clippers are once again showing signs of being that inconsistent team that was unable to hold a 3-1 advantage over the Denver Nuggets last season in the Orlando bubble. Although things started better for them this season, the Clips are now in a bad position after a series of questionable results that have raised a lot of eyebrows around the league.

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have vowed to change the face of the team this campaign and they did it for some time but that time has passed. Now they’re struggling again and their recent loss to the Dallas Mavericks, 105-89, is the prime sample of that.

They have lost six of their last eight games and people are getting worried about this team and what they can and can’t do in the association. Fox Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe took his chance to criticize the Californian team, asking why Kawhi and George get dominated every night even though they’re considered the two best wing defenders since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

“I need someone to explain to me how the 2 best wing defenders Kawhi/PG since Jordan and Pip. Get their clocks cleaned against damn near everyone. I blame Doc Rivers for this,” Sharpe wrote on Twitter.

This isn’t the most accurate take from Sharpe since these two can do a good job on the defensive end, no doubt about it. It seems like the rest of the team needs to step up and help their two biggest figures and until that moment, the Clippers won’t have the chance to fulfill their potential.

The trade deadline is approaching and this is one of the teams expected to make one or two moves to bolster their squad for the last stretch of the regular season.
