Shaquille O’Neal has always had a strong opinion on the top 10 players of all time. Even though he’s changed his mind about who is the GOAT, Shaq has always maintained that Kobe Bryant is often disrespected.

During a recent appearance on FLUENT & CHILL, Shaq explained why he considers Kobe should be No. 2 on the all-time list.

“Y’all think Michael Jordan was perfection, right? Who was the closest thing next to Mike?” O’Neal said (1:25:15 mark).

This discussion started when Chill, one of the hosts, provided his all-time list, putting LeBron James as No. 1, then Michael Jordan as No. 2. Kobe Bryant ranks 11th there, but Shaq took offense to that.

The Big Diesel agreed that these conversations are good since people always have different opinions, but he stated that it was a little disrespectful not to have Kobe Bryant in the top 10 of all time. There are controversial lists around the NBA, including Charles Barkley’s, which places both LeBron James and Kobe Bryant outside the top 5.

Shaq has the utmost respect for Jordan, who he’s called the GOAT repeatedly, and also for Bryant, his best partner during his career. He admires LeBron and even revealed that he was jealous of the King for breaking the all-time scoring record. But still, the 4x NBA champion has a clear pick for the GOAT title.

Shaquille O’Neal Admits Everybody Was Afraid Of Michael Jordan

Shaq, as well as other people like Stephen A. Smith and Vernon Maxwell, recently agreed that everybody was afraid of Michael Jordan, contrary to what happens with LeBron James.

O’Neal himself was feared during his best years, as he was one of the most dominant players to set foot on an NBA court. Jordan and Bryant were like that, too, as they could get under everybody’s skins with their trash-talking and incredible plays. It’s understandable why Shaq thinks that they should be No. 1 and No. 2 on the all-time ranking.
