Shaquille O’Neal Picks The Top 5 Current Players In The NBA

2 Min Read

Shaquille O’Neal has revealed his top 5 current NBA players, picking five stars that have been dominating in the past couple of years. The Big Diesel has earned a reputation in recent times due to how easy is for him to criticize modern-day stars and compare them to the ones we saw 20-30 years ago.

During a recent interview on Showtime’s “All The Smoke” with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, Shaq talked about a series of topics, including his relationship with Kobe Bryant, his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers, his transition to become an analyst and more.

At the end of the interview, he was asked to pick the 5 best players in the league right now and he hesitated at first but delivered a very interesting top 5 that would probably go 82-0 in the NBA.

“Steph, Dame, KD, LeBron… I’mma go with Joel [Embiid].”

This is a very good team, to be honest. You have players who can do everything on the court and if you have this starting five, the competition would be over.

Surprisingly, he picked Joel Embiid, one of the players that suffered Shaq’s criticism in the past but it seems like the Philadelphia 76ers star has earned the respect of the last center to win the MVP award winner.

There are some names that Shaq left out of this top, though, including James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo or Luka Doncic but this is still a very talented and well-rounded squad.

The 4x NBA champion will always be controversial but there were only 5 spots to fill and truth be told, he did a very good job.
