Shaquille O’Neal Says The Clippers Won’t Come Back In WCF: “I Think The Clippers Will Have A Handful”

3 Min Read

The Los Angeles Clippers are back in the Western Conference Finals after a big win over the Phoenix Suns in Game 3. The Californians are trailing the Suns 2-1, hoping to tie the series this Saturday at Staples Center.

They overcame a 2-0 deficit in the first round of the playoffs, but now things are more complex. Not everybody is convinced they can win the series and Shaquille O’Neal recently explained why he’s one of those.

The Big Diesel doesn’t think the Clippers can win their third straight series after going 2-0 down. According to Shaq, Chris Paul and Devin Booker are too dangerous to let this chance slip. They won’t record any more games with a poor shooting performance, and that’s what makes them a threat for the Clips (2:28).

“The question is, will, the Phoenix Stars play better. And will, Patrick Beverley be able to get away with a lot of fouls…. I think, you know, the Clippers, they do have a coach is very resilient. He doesn’t panic.”

“I think they can try to you know, possibly win the series but I do not expect the great Devin Booker and the great Chris Paul to shoot 4 for 20. I do not expect that, so I think the Clippers will have a handful tomorrow.”

It’s well known that Shaq isn’t a fan of the Clippers and his opinion might be based on that. However, without Kawhi Leonard, things will be harder for the Clips as the days go by.

Nevertheless, Paul George has done a terrific job keeping the Clippers’ hopes alive. They want to see him doing this for the rest of the series while Patrick Beverley tries to stop Booker on the defensive end. The job is very tough, but this Clippers team has overcome adversity all season long.

Many more fans think the same way as Shaq, but others see this series closer than it appears.
