LeBron James is gearing up for the 20th season of his NBA career. Since it’s the offseason, it’s the perfect time for the King to get in top shape and make sure that he can once again entertain NBA fans with his amazing basketball skills.

On that note, James gave a little sneak peek of what to expect from him in the recent Drew League game that he played. It was great to see the King return to the pro-am league for the first time since 2011.

Obviously, fans expected a stunning performance from arguably the best player in the league. Well, as usual, James didn’t disappoint his fans and ended up scoring 42 points for his team in a 104-102 win.

Apart from being on a scoring rampage, LBJ also racked up 16 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. He shot 18-36 from the field. But this included a below-average 2-13 shooting performance from the 3-point line.

Considering it wasn’t an NBA game, one might not think a lot about it. If anything, James was probably just having fun out there without worrying about his stats. You would think no one would even bat an eye for his shooting performance.

But veteran NBA analyst Skip Bayless is known to be a longtime LeBron James hater. He won’t let pass any opportunity to take a shot at the 4x NBA champion. He did so once again by criticizing James’ 42-point performance on Twitter.

Love it that LeBron played in the Drew League today. But: he shot only 2-13 from three??? He missed the late free throw that would've at least clinched overtime? Some things never change.

Love it that LeBron played in the Drew League today. But: he shot only 2-13 from three??? He missed the late free throw that would’ve at least clinched overtime? Some things never change.

Had it been any other NBA analyst, most would have thought it was a joke. But since it’s Bayless, you can be certain that he is 100% about his analysis of LeBron James’ game.

This isn’t the first time that Skip has decided to call out James over things that wouldn’t matter a lot to other people. Unfortunately, knowing Skip, it also wouldn’t be the last time that he would do such a thing.
