Skip Bayless Flames Giannis Antetokounmpo: “Trust Me, He’s Not Driven To Win Championships.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s new extension will keep him in Milwaukee for the foreseeable future. The 26-year-old star, who is coming off his second-straight MVP season, will shift his focus to winning with the team he was drafted with.

And while he still has plenty of time to bring a title to Milwaukee, there are those who still doubt his commitment to winning.

FOX Sports analyst Skip Bayless is one prominent NBA media member who falls in that camp, recently going so far as to say the Greek Freak isn’t “driven” to win titles.

“Giannis just showed you who he is & who he isn’t. He’s fine being a little in the shadows in Milwaukee. Trust me, he’s not driven to win championships,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.

The extension is coming off a string of failures for Giannis and the Bucks, who have lost in the Conference playoffs two years in a row despite being among the highest regular-season performers.

Free agency would have given Giannis a chance to join a big market team or unite with other stars for an easier path to a Chip. going to a place like New York, LA, or Miami likely would have made life a whole lot easier for the young superstar.

Nevertheless, he’s committed to staying in Milwaukee. We’ll see how that works out for him.
