Stephen A. Smith: “Devin Booker Is The Next Kobe Bryant. It Is Official.”

Stephen A. Smith has huge praise for Devin Booker. The shooting guard is having a terrific 2021 playoffs, leading his Phoenix Suns to get eight consecutive wins since going 2-1 down against the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.

This team is surprising many people around the league with Book and Chris Paul leading the way, but the young gun is taking things to the next level now. Devin has been on a tear since the start of the postseason, and he’s not slowing down now that CP3 entered the league’s health and safety protocol.

He understood the assignment in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, torching the Los Angeles Clippers in a magical game. He recorded a 40-point triple-double in his first WCF game, leaving everybody in awe of him. Smith was one of those, calling Booker the next Kobe Bryant after such an incredible performance.

“Devin Booker is the next Kobe Bryant,” Smith told Max Kellerman and Magic Johnson. “I’m saying it on national TV. Devin Booker is the next Kobe Bryant. It is official. His first playoffs appearance and the brother is a No. 1 option, averaging over 28 (points per game), dropped 40 in a triple-double in his first game at the Conference Finals… The way he plays, he’s an assassin. And guess what? This Clippers team, you need Kawhi back to knock that kid off. “

DBook is a menace to whoever is in front of him. He is a bad man who won’t get tired until he achieves his goal. The Suns are a well-rounded team, and even with Chris Paul out, Booker is taking care of business.

The Clippers put up a good fight in Game 1, but Book was too much to bear for them. Watch out because this kid is going for everything this postseason.
