Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter to ever play the game of basketball, this has become an indisputable fact. The Golden State Warriors superstar has achieved things that most people can’t even dream of, having a huge impact on the way that NBA basketball is played.
Curry recently joined the team on their Presidential visit to the White House as the champions of last season. Even though this season isn’t going too well for the Dubs, Stephen Curry has nothing to worry about in legacy terms. As he suggested, the legacy that he wants to leave behind is more in terms of his work off the court. But even the man himself has his ideas of success.
Stephen Curry Explained How He Thinks Of Success
On the basketball court, there are only a handful of players that can boast of a career as the one Curry has enjoyed. However, there is much more to life than basketball, and Curry’s priorities include his family and his community at the same level as the game. Speaking to Bob Myers recently, Curry shared how he defines success (40:45).
“It’s the ability to create something that’s bigger than yourself. To be as present as possible for the people in your life. We have crazy demands in our schedule and I’d love to be everywhere with my kids and my wife every single part of the day but it’s not possible. Creating with my team, my family my friends… Just the ability of — you enjoy the experience of life. I feel like I’ve loved the ability to win championships and have all the amazing success that we’ve had on the court, I don’t think I’d be any less happy as a person… We’re all blessed to have people that love you and support you and expect the best out of you, whatever that is. Those are the people that you want in your life and it’s our job to protect them at all costs.”
Curry always keeps it real and his approach to life hasn’t changed. He has been incredibly successful on and off the court, being loved by his family and all the fans he’s earned over the years. He always has that positive attitude that is contagious, which is why he’s so respected and love among his peers.
Things aren’t going well for the Warriors this season, but the Chef stays confident, ready to turn things around and prove people that the Warriors are far from done, like they did last year.
