Steve Kerr made a big revelation ahead of the Golden State Warriors clash with Boston Celtics on Tuesday night. He talked about one of the stars of the C’s, Jaylen Brown, remembering all the time they spent together before Brown even entered the league.
Brown used to play for the University of California, Berkeley, with Steve’s son, Nick Kerr. They used to attend some Warriors game and Kerr sometimes drove them to the Oracle Arena. He admitted prior to Tuesday showdown and he wasn’t sure if he was breaking any rule, so he asked Brown to not talk about their rides with anybody.
Via NBC Sports:
“I actually had Jaylen in the car a couple times when he came to Oracle with my son for games, and I remember at the time telling Jaylen, ‘Please don’t say anything ’cause I think this might be a violation of some sort, ’cause you’re supposed to be a lottery pick!'” Kerr joked to reporters in a pregame video conference Tuesday ahead of Golden State’s game against Boston at Chase Center. “And we kind of laughed about it at the time.”
Moreover, Kerr praised the evolution of the player and how being coached by someone like Brad Stevens has helped his career. Brown has made the leap this season and even without Jayson Tatum, he’s carrying the Celtics.

He is the future of the Boston Celtics alongside Tatum, who led the Celtics’ win over the Warriors, 111-107. Brown is ready to take his game to the next level and this season he’s playing great basketball, looking ready to earn his first All-Star call.
