The Golden State Warriors won the 2021-22 NBA championship, beating the Boston Celtics in six games. There is no doubt that they deserved to win the championship as they were a sound defensive team that emphasized unselfishness and ball movement.

Going into the 2022-23 season, the Golden State Warriors will likely be one of the favorites to win the championship. They have the talent to repeat, but obviously, that’s easier said than done.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr has recently spoken out on the Warriors’ championship chances for next season, claiming that they have a “good opportunity”, but that it’s “going to be very difficult”.

"Keeping the title at Golden state? it’s going to be very difficult, a lot of great teams in the NBA, and it always require some luck; injuries, one shot goes in or misses. We have a good opportunity but you never know" pic.twitter.com/yD1uPQfej8

“Keeping the title at Golden state? It’s going to be very difficult, a lot of great teams in the NBA, and it always require some luck; injuries, one shot goes in or misses. We have a good opportunity but you never know”

Superstar point guard Stephen Curry has previously stated that the Golden State Warriors championship window will still be open for a while, as the team has “a lot left in the tank”. They also have younger players such as Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins that can help them extend that championship window. The development of prospects such as Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman will also be key to increasing the Golden State Warriors’ chances of winning the championship in the future.

We’ve talked about that. I’ve said it plenty of times, we have a lot left in the tank in terms of what we can do out there on the floor. Bring up the age thing, that’s something to talk about, but it doesn’t really reflect how we approach this playoff journey, our confidence in what we can do going forward.

As of right now, the Golden State Warriors are likely enjoying their offseason while also starting to get ready for next year. They will have the benefit of continuity, chemistry, and championship experience going into next season, and those are all valuable things to have for a contending team.

However, the road to the NBA Finals won’t necessarily be easy. There will be other elite teams in the Western Conference, such as the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies.

With that being said, the Golden State Warriors have superstar Stephen Curry on their side. He is a proven winner who knows what it takes to win it all. With Curry, they will likely be confident in their chances.
