Predictably, the Brooklyn Nets have once again become the biggest story of the season. After roughly six weeks of dominant play and a distraction-free environment, the team was thrust into chaos again by Kyrie Irving’s latest trade demand.

All over the internet, fans and experts have been puzzled by the move and have been coming out to give their takes on how Irving is handling this mess.

Ahead of the Nets’ game against the Wizards on Saturday, Nets big man Nic Claxton was asked to chime in on the situation and admitted he had no intention of talking Kyrie out of his actions.

“No, that’s not my job. My job is to come out here everyday and compete at the highest level, stay healthy, and help my team win basketball games.”

When asked if there was some kind of window for Kyrie to return to the team, Clax again brushed off the idea he knew anything about the situation.

“I have no idea, no idea. I just work here at the end of the day. I just wanna come out here and beat Washington and have fun in front of the fans.”

Nic Claxton said he wouldn’t try to talk Kyrie Irving out of his trade request. He was then asked if there was a window for Irving to return to the Brooklyn Nets.

In part: “I have no idea. I just work here at the end of the day.” 😂

Head coach Jacque Vaughn will no doubt do a great job preparing his guys to endure another wild and chaotic stretch — but it’s nothing they aren’t used to by now.

The Real Reason Why Kyrie Irving Wants Out of Brooklyn

The Nets don’t have to trade Kyrie. They could decide to hold onto him and wait things out until the summer when his options for joining a team with max cap space are limited.

Apparently, Irving wants a 4-year max deal on a contract that does not include stipulations.

Kyrie Irving’s camp did not negotiate after Brooklyn Nets presented an offer that was tied to team winning a championship, league sources tell. Told the issue was not about money, and now it’s said he wouldn’t even stay if offered a full max contract.

With Kevin Durant currently on the way back from injury, it won’t be long before he’ll have a decision of his own to make.

While we all fully expect KD to play out this season, he may not want to stick around there for long without Kyrie to back him up.

Either way, we shouldn’t expect Irving to change his mind. This breakup is happening, and there’s no going back now.
