LeBron James had his revenge against an unruly Boston Celtics crowd after they poured beer on him in the aftermath of his 45-point iconic Game 6 in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2012.

Trailing the series 3-2, the Miami Heat were under the pump, and James responded by dishing out a stellar performance notching up 45 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists staving off elimination with a 98-79 win. And the crowd later poured beer on the forward as he was walking out of the floor.

And that was a mistake. James had his revenge in Game 7 torching the Celtics with 31 points and 12 rebounds.

This was coupled with some solid defense and the Celtics were trounced 101-88 as the Heat made the NBA Finals to face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder who they put away 4-1.

Maybe the Celtics learned an important lesson that day,  to not mess with a player who was hitting his prime ̦ which would well extend for a decade after.

At present, the Heat put away a spirited Celtics in the ECF after the latter forced a Game 7. Historically, the Heat won the NBA Finals after putting away a stern Boston outfit, now it remains to be seen if the likes of Jimmy Butler and the rest of Miami can do an encore of the 2012 NBA Finals, this time against the Denver Nuggets.

LeBron James Once Revealed Why He Hates The Celtics Fans

There’s more to just beer being poured for James to hate Celtics fans. The now-Los Angeles Lakers star has his reasons and he outlined it during his appearance on ‘The Shop’ alongside Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford.

“Boston because they are racist as f**k that’s why, they will say anything. I’ve been dealing with this my whole life, I don’t mind it. Like if I hear someone close by I check him real quick then move on to the game. They gonna say whatever the f*ck they wanna say, I even got a beer thrown on me once leaving the game.”

James has played in Boston an ample number of times, and he’s not one to take it lightly when fans get toxic. He’s made his point on and off the field, pretty much.
