The Houston Rockets are going through some times of changes. They parted ways with their head coach Mike D’Antoni and GM Daryl Morey, which has led people to believe these aren’t the only changes they’d make this offseason. Several reports suggested that even James Harden could be traded by the team, while others said he was the only untouchable player on the roster.
Well, it looks like the Rockets have picked the second option for Harden. He’s not going anywhere and the team is as high on him as they were when he first landed in the Toyota Center. According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the Rockets have all their faith in Harden and they want to take advantage of his prime as long as they can.
“What I can say is right now the Rockets are 100 percent committed to trying to cash in on James Harden’s prime. They consider him the best player in the league,” MacMahon told Adrian Wojnarowski on The Woj Pod.

Harden has been one of the best NBA players in recent years and the Rockets believe he still has a lot in the tank. However, Harden is 31 and his style of play has been ineffective to lead the Rockets to the title. He’s not getting any younger and unless the Rockets change the culture, surround him with the right pieces for that change, it doesn’t seem likely that Harden will win the title with this team.
