The Portland Trail Blazers are willing to accommodate Damian Lillard’s trade request, but that doesn’t mean they’d accept a mediocre offer for him.

They are reportedly not impressed with the Miami Heat’s trade packages for Lillard and Blazers insider Aaron Fentress has now revealed what the team is seeking in return for the superstar guard.

“The Blazers, according to NBA sources, are seeking in the neighborhood of four first-round picks and two quality players,” Fentress wrote. “But accomplishing that could require adding a third team to the equation.”

Considering both Kevin Durant and Rudy Gobert went for four first-round picks, it is not a surprise that the Blazers want that for Dame, who averaged 32.2 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 7.3 APG, 0.9 SPG, and 0.3 BPG last season.

The Brooklyn Nets did get two quality players in Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson as well for Durant, but Lillard isn’t KD, so that might be unrealistic.

Damian Lillard Only Wants To Go To The Heat

Lillard’s stance on where he wants to go hasn’t changed at any point during this process. It was clear after the trade request that he only wanted to go to the Heat and his agent recently reiterated it. A report even stated that Lillard wouldn’t show up to any other team that traded him except Miami, as he looks to force his way to the Heat.

The problem with any trade with the Heat is that they can only trade two first-round picks at the moment. The only way to match those demands would be by adding a third team into the equation here. The Nets were reportedly contacted to be that third team and they do have a ton of picks thanks to that Durant trade.

What is clear by now though, is that you shouldn’t expect a quick resolution to this Lillard situation. The Blazers are in no hurry whatsoever to trade him and this could drag for quite a while.
